{"id":9815,"date":"2024-04-01T17:16:56","date_gmt":"2024-04-01T20:16:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.0.98\/?p=9815"},"modified":"2024-04-01T17:16:56","modified_gmt":"2024-04-01T20:16:56","slug":"de-havilland-le-dice-adios-a-downsview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/?p=9815","title":{"rendered":"De Havilland le dice adi\u00f3s a Downsview\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tras 95 a\u00f1os de funcionamiento ininterrumpidos y 9500 aeronaves producidas, la hist\u00f3rica f\u00e1brica de De Havilland Canada, fundada en 1929 y actualmente en manos de Bombardier Aeroespace desde 1994, ser\u00e1 trasladada hacia el Pearson International Airport, ubicado en la ciudad de Toronto, luego de seis a\u00f1os de evaluaci\u00f3n por parte de sus directivos. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Norm-Betts-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9816\" style=\"width:573px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Este complejo industrial, uno de los m\u00e1s grandes del pa\u00eds norteamericano, cuenta con 12 hangares distribuidos a lo largo del aeropuerto de Donwsview. All\u00ed, se fabrican y ensamblan aeronaves como el Dash 8, Bombardier Global Express y Bombardier Global 5000. A su vez, cabe mencionar que, en el mismo lugar, se fabricaron los bombarderos en picada De Havilland DH.98 Mosquito, aeroplanos DH.60 Moth y los DHC-2 Beavers. De Havilland comunic\u00f3 que, a mediados de 2024, las operaciones en este lugar cesar\u00e1n. La empresa entreg\u00f3 sus \u00faltimos Dash 8 y Twin Otter en 2022, lo que culmin\u00f3 con su derecho a uso de las instalaciones. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La raz\u00f3n del traslado de esta planta de producci\u00f3n se debe al creciente desarrollo de la empresa que inaugur\u00f3, a principios de 2024, el complejo aleda\u00f1o al aeropuerto de Toronto. A su vez, se inform\u00f3 que se construir\u00e1n otras instalaciones en Whestland, Alberta, donde De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited podr\u00e1 seguir con la producci\u00f3n de sus aeronaves. All\u00ed funcionar\u00e1 su l\u00ednea de ensamblaje, fabricaci\u00f3n, distribuci\u00f3n de piezas e, incluso, tendr\u00e1 su propia pista de aterrizaje.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/T5PNGH272FBYZF7DQ3MY4KVUUI-1024x552.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9817\" style=\"width:573px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>El desarrollo del Centro Global de Fabricaci\u00f3n de Toronto conllev\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de USD 400 millones. Los directivos afirman que: \u201cEs emocionante para todos los empleados ver a Bombardier invertir en la fabricaci\u00f3n del complejo de Toronto\u201d. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por otra parte, la entrega de aeronaves de Bombardier no se ver\u00e1 retrasada pese a la mudanza y construcci\u00f3n de este centro. Los directivos han dispuesto las instalaciones de Downsview para finalizar en tiempo y forma el ensamblaje de los \u00faltimos pedidos. En sinton\u00eda, el nuevo lugar de producci\u00f3n dar\u00e1 vida al Global 8000, en 2025, que ser\u00e1 construido bajo un mismo techo, en un flujo continuo, para minimizar los traslados y la exposici\u00f3n de las aeronaves al clima adverso de Canad\u00e1.
