{"id":9421,"date":"2024-03-08T08:10:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-08T11:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.0.98\/?p=9421"},"modified":"2024-03-08T08:10:00","modified_gmt":"2024-03-08T11:10:00","slug":"antena-experimental-de-la-nasa-rastrea-senales-laser-del-espacio-profundo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/?p=9421","title":{"rendered":"Antena experimental de la NASA rastrea se\u00f1ales l\u00e1ser del espacio profundo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/news_DSN090224-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9422\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La Estaci\u00f3n de Espacio Profundo 13 (EEP 13) en el complejo Goldstone de la NASA en California es una antena experimental equipada con una terminal dise\u00f1ada para<em>\u00a0<\/em>recibir se\u00f1ales \u00f3pticas y de radiofrecuencia.\u00a0La antena h\u00edbrida\u00a0est\u00e1 a prueba y por primera vez recibi\u00f3 se\u00f1ales de radiofrecuencia y l\u00e1ser del espacio profundo, al mismo tiempo, desde\u00a0la nave espacial Psyche de la NASA. Esto muestra que es posible adaptar las antenas parab\u00f3licas gigantes de la red de Espacio Profundo (DSN) de la NASA, y comunicar con las naves espaciales a trav\u00e9s de ondas de radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La antena h\u00edbrida \u00f3ptica de radiofrecuencia&nbsp;EEP 13 posee una altura&nbsp;de 34 metros y un rastreador l\u00e1ser de enlace descendente de tecnolog\u00eda de Comunicaciones \u00d3pticas en el Espacio Profundo (DSOC) de la NASA. Por su parte, el transceptor l\u00e1ser de vuelo viaja con la nave espacial Psyche desde que se lanz\u00f3 el 13 de octubre de 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amy Smith, subdirectora de DSN, anunci\u00f3: &#8220;Nuestra antena h\u00edbrida ha podido bloquear y rastrear de manera exitosa y confiable el enlace descendente DSOC desde poco despu\u00e9s del lanzamiento de la demostraci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica\u201d. Y agreg\u00f3: &#8220;Tambi\u00e9n recibi\u00f3 la se\u00f1al de radiofrecuencia de Psyche, por lo que hemos demostrado por primera vez comunicaciones s\u00edncronas de radio y frecuencia \u00f3ptica en las profundidades del espacio&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A finales de 2023, la antena h\u00edbrida transmiti\u00f3 datos desde 32 millones de kil\u00f3metros &nbsp;de distancia a una velocidad de 15,63 megabits por segundo, aproximadamente 40 veces m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que las comunicaciones por radiofrecuencia a esa distancia. El 1 de enero de 2024, la antena transmiti\u00f3 una fotograf\u00eda del equipo que se hab\u00eda subido al DSOC antes del lanzamiento de Psyche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para detectar los fotones del l\u00e1ser (part\u00edculas cu\u00e1nticas de luz), se colocaron siete espejos segmentados ultraprecisos en el interior de la superficie curva de la antena h\u00edbrida. Estos segmentos, que se asemejan a los espejos hexagonales del Telescopio Espacial James Webb de la NASA, imitan la apertura de recolecci\u00f3n de luz de un telescopio de 1 metro de alcance. A medida que los fotones l\u00e1ser llegan a la antena, cada espejo refleja los fotones y los redirige con precisi\u00f3n hacia una c\u00e1mara de alta exposici\u00f3n conectada al subreflector de la antena suspendida sobre el centro del plato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/news2_DSN090224.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9423\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La se\u00f1al l\u00e1ser, recopilada por la c\u00e1mara, se transmite a trav\u00e9s de una fibra \u00f3ptica que alimenta un detector de fot\u00f3n \u00fanico de nanocables semiconductores enfriado criog\u00e9nicamente. Dise\u00f1ado y construido por el laboratorio de microdispositivos del JPL, el detector es id\u00e9ntico al utilizado en el Observatorio Palomar de Caltech, en el condado de San Diego, California, que act\u00faa como estaci\u00f3n terrestre de enlace descendente del DSOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se espera que la antena sea lo suficientemente sensible como para detectar la se\u00f1al l\u00e1ser enviada desde Marte en su punto m\u00e1s alejado de la Tierra (2 \u00bd veces la distancia entre el Sol y la Tierra). Psyche estar\u00e1 a esa distancia en junio en su camino hacia el cintur\u00f3n de asteroides principal entre Marte y J\u00fapiter para investigar el asteroide Psyche rico en metales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El reflector de siete segmentos de la antena es una prueba de concepto para una versi\u00f3n ampliada y m\u00e1s potente con 64 segmentos (el equivalente a un telescopio de 8 metros de apertura) que podr\u00eda usarse en el futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La NASA confirm\u00f3 que DSOC est\u00e1 allanando el camino para mejorar las comunicaciones a mayor velocidad de datos capaces de transmitir informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica compleja, videos e im\u00e1genes de alta definici\u00f3n en apoyo al pr\u00f3ximo salto de la humanidad: enviar humanos a Marte.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reequipar las antenas de radiofrecuencia con terminales \u00f3pticas y construir antenas h\u00edbridas especialmente dise\u00f1adas podr\u00eda ser una soluci\u00f3n a la actual falta de una infraestructura \u00f3ptica terrestre. La DSN cuenta con 14 antenas distribuidas en instalaciones de California, Madrid y Canberra, Australia.
