{"id":18190,"date":"2026-09-08T16:05:55","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T16:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/?p=18190"},"modified":"2026-09-08T16:05:55","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T16:05:55","slug":"una-constelacion-de-satelites-europea-lidera-las-predicciones-meteorologicas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/?p=18190","title":{"rendered":"Una constelaci\u00f3n de sat\u00e9lites europea lidera las predicciones meteorol\u00f3gicas"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u00edas atr\u00e1s, la compa\u00f1\u00eda Thales Alenia Space puso en \u00f3rbita exitosamente el sat\u00e9lite meteorol\u00f3gico MTG-I2, a bordo del lanzador Ariane 62 desde el Puerto Espacial de Europa, en Guayana Francesa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MTG-I2 es el segundo sat\u00e9lite de im\u00e1genes del programa Meteosat de tercera generaci\u00f3n, una iniciativa conjunta entre la Agencia Espacial Europea y EUMETSAT (Organizaci\u00f3n Europea para la Explotaci\u00f3n de Sat\u00e9lites Meteorol\u00f3gicos) para garantizar el monitoreo meteorol\u00f3gico continuo de alta resoluci\u00f3n en Europa y \u00c1frica, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de 2040.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Meteosat2_Thales-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Meteosat2_Thales-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Meteosat2_Thales-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Meteosat2_Thales-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Meteosat2_Thales.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los sat\u00e9lites de esta flota fueron construidos por un consorcio integrado por el Grupo Thales (67 %) y por Leonardo (33 %), y operar\u00e1n en \u00f3rbita geoestacionaria, a 36 000 km sobre la Tierra, con una vida \u00fatil aproximada de ocho a\u00f1os. Entre sus prestaciones, se cuenta un generador de im\u00e1genes combinado flexible, dise\u00f1ado para mejorar la precisi\u00f3n de las predicciones, desde varios minutos hasta varias horas antes de que ocurran los fen\u00f3menos. A su vez, proporcionar\u00e1n una imagen completa de nuestro planeta, en 16 bandas espectrales, en tan solo 10 minutos, frente a los 15 que tardaba la generaci\u00f3n anterior. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adicionalmente, incluyen un modo r\u00e1pido capaz de proporcionar im\u00e1genes cada 2,5 minutos, con una resoluci\u00f3n espacial mejorada de entre 500 metros y un kil\u00f3metro. Estas capacidades permiten monitorear y predecir, casi en tiempo real, fen\u00f3menos meteorol\u00f3gicos extremos, como tormentas el\u00e9ctricas severas, una amenaza creciente para las poblaciones que se ve agravada por el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El director ejecutivo de Thales Alenia Space, Herv\u00e9 Derrey, manifest\u00f3 su entusiasmo acerca del nuevo lanzamiento: \u201cUna vez que el sat\u00e9lite MTG-I2 est\u00e9 operativo, Europa contar\u00e1 con los servicios meteorol\u00f3gicos m\u00e1s sofisticados del mundo desde una \u00f3rbita geoestacionaria\u201d, asegur\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde sus inicios, Thales Alenia Space ha sido el contratista principal de tres generaciones de sat\u00e9lites Meteosat en nombre de la ESA. La compa\u00f1\u00eda ha puesto en \u00f3rbita siete sat\u00e9lites de este tipo, cuatro de segunda generaci\u00f3n y ahora tres de tercera generaci\u00f3n. Seg\u00fan los expertos en la materia, la meteorolog\u00eda europea se ha vuelto cada vez m\u00e1s precisa a lo largo de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, lo que hace que las predicciones
