La misi\u00f3n, que ser\u00e1 el&nbsp;primer vuelo tripulado estadounidense hacia la Luna en m\u00e1s de medio siglo, estaba prevista para fines de 2026, pero el organismo decidi\u00f3 moverla a una ventana m\u00e1s temprana luego de superar con \u00e9xito pruebas cr\u00edticas de la c\u00e1psula Orion y del cohete Space Launch System (SLS). El movimiento marca un cambio de ritmo para un programa y es una se\u00f1al clara de que la agencia vuelve a tomar impulso en la nueva carrera lunar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim Free, administrador asociado para el Desarrollo de Sistemas de Exploraci\u00f3n, declar\u00f3: \u201cLos progresos en las \u00faltimas pruebas de&nbsp;<em>hardware<\/em>&nbsp;nos permiten ganar confianza para lanzar, antes de la fecha programada, sin comprometer la seguridad\u201d. La c\u00e1psula&nbsp;Orion, que llevar\u00e1 a la tripulaci\u00f3n, fue bautizada&nbsp;\u201cIntegrity\u201d&nbsp;como s\u00edmbolo de valores tales como la confianza, el respeto y la honestidad. El plan contempla una ventana de lanzamiento que podr\u00eda abrirse el&nbsp;5 de<strong> <\/strong>febrero de 2026, aunque la NASA mantiene abril como fecha l\u00edmite. La trayectoria elegida ser\u00e1 una&nbsp;<em>free-return<\/em>, que permite que la nave regrese a la Tierra de manera natural con la gravedad de la Luna y del planeta en caso de que sea necesario abortar las maniobras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El objetivo central es validar todos los sistemas cr\u00edticos antes de poner un pie en la superficie lunar: soporte vital, navegaci\u00f3n, comunicaciones, propulsi\u00f3n y el comportamiento del escudo t\u00e9rmico durante el reingreso. Parte de las modificaciones vienen de las experiencias aprendidas con\u00a0Artemis I, misi\u00f3n no tripulada que evidenci\u00f3 desgaste inesperado en el escudo y retrasos por fugas de hidr\u00f3geno en el cohete SLS. Koch ser\u00e1 la primera mujer en volar hacia la Luna, y Glover, el primer afroamericano en una misi\u00f3n lunar. El \u00e9xito de esta segunda etapa ser\u00e1 decisivo para&nbsp;Artemis 3, prevista para 2027, que incluir\u00e1 el uso del m\u00f3dulo de descenso Starship HLS y marcar\u00e1 el regreso del ser humano a la superficie lunar con la primera mujer y la primera persona de color pisando el sat\u00e9lite natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con este anuncio, la NASA recupera el pulso despu\u00e9s de a\u00f1os
