Seg\u00fan datos de la FAA, en lo que va de 2025, ya se registraron m\u00e1s de 50 casos de humo, calor extremo o fuego provocados por bater\u00edas de litio en dispositivos transportados a bordo. Desde la agencia, recuerdan que deben ir siempre en equipaje de mano, nunca en bodega.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1218-cmo-quraishi.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1218-cmo-quraishi.jpg.webp 768w, https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1218-cmo-quraishi.jpg-300x169.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>En el marco de la campa\u00f1a<em>&nbsp;PackSafe<\/em><em>,<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em>la FAA comunic\u00f3: \u201cEl objetivo es que las aerol\u00edneas refuercen sus procedimientos y los viajeros conozcan las reglas\u201d. El mensaje se refuerza con un informe interno que detalla que, solo hasta junio, ya se hab\u00edan contabilizado 38 episodios confirmados en vuelos comerciales y de carga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La alerta llega en un contexto donde los dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos personales, desde&nbsp;<em>tablets<\/em>&nbsp;hasta&nbsp;<em>power banks<\/em>, se multiplican en cabinas y generan un nuevo frente de seguridad. Un informe realizado por la agencia de noticias&nbsp;<em>Reuters<\/em>&nbsp;advierte que muchos pasajeros desconocen que llevar bater\u00edas de repuesto en valijas despachadas est\u00e1 prohibido y que, en casos de incendio, la \u00fanica respuesta efectiva es la acci\u00f3n inmediata de la tripulaci\u00f3n entrenada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este no es el \u00fanico frente abierto. La FAA tambi\u00e9n anunci\u00f3 el inicio del proceso para contratar a un integrador principal (<em>prime integrator<\/em>) que se encargar\u00e1 de dise\u00f1ar y desplegar un nuevo sistema nacional de control de tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo. El secretario de Transporte de los Estados Unidos, Sean P. Duffy, fue categ\u00f3rico: \u201cQueremos darle a nuestros controladores la mejor tecnolog\u00eda posible. No se trata solo de eficiencia, se trata de seguridad\u201d. Se espera que la implementaci\u00f3n lleve entre tres y cuatro a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La iniciativa busca reemplazar radares,&nbsp;<em>software<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>hardware<\/em>&nbsp;y redes de telecomunicaciones que, en muchos casos, datan de hace d\u00e9cadas. El propio administrador de la FAA, Bryan Bedford, reconoci\u00f3 que: \u201cLa infraestructura actual ya cumpli\u00f3 su vida \u00fatil, falla con frecuencia y necesita un reemplazo integral\u201d. El Congreso aprob\u00f3 un primer desembolso de 12 500 millones de d\u00f3lares, aunque el costo final del proyecto ser\u00e1 mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El impacto de esta modernizaci\u00f3n no solo es t\u00e9cnico. La introducci\u00f3n de un nuevo sistema tambi\u00e9n incluir\u00e1 la migraci\u00f3n de los\u00a0avisos oficiales que emiten las autoridades aeron\u00e1uticas\u00a0(NOTAMs, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) \u2014la FAA en EE. UU. o la\u00a0Empresa Argentina de Navegaci\u00f3n A\u00e9rea\u2014 a plataformas alojadas en la nube, un paso clave para evitar colapsos en el espacio a\u00e9reo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde la Asociaci\u00f3n de Pilotos de Aerol\u00edneas , celebraron la decisi\u00f3n y comunicaron que: \u201cLa transici\u00f3n deber\u00e1 ser cuidadosa para no agregar riesgos operativos\u201d. En paralelo,&nbsp;la&nbsp;Asociaci\u00f3n de Pilotos y Propietarios de Aviones se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la FAA tiene la oportunidad de modernizar no solo los sistemas de gesti\u00f3n de las aerol\u00edneas comerciales, sino de la aviaci\u00f3n general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con esta doble estrategia \u2014acciones inmediatas para reducir riesgos de incendio en cabina y un plan estructural para renovar el control a\u00e9reo\u2014 la FAA busca establecer y comunicar que la seguridad es prioridad, y que la modernizaci\u00f3n de la aviaci\u00f3n no puede esperar. La tensi\u00f3n entre lo urgente y lo estrat\u00e9gico pone a la industria frente a una d\u00e9cada de cambios que, de concretarse, marcar\u00e1n un nuevo est\u00e1ndar global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fuentes:
