Fabricantes y operadores como&nbsp;Airbus,&nbsp;GE Aerospace,&nbsp;Rolls-Royce,&nbsp;Lufthansa Technik,&nbsp;Delta TechOps&nbsp;y&nbsp;Qantas&nbsp;comenzaron a utilizar estas tecnolog\u00edas para anticiparse a fallos, reducir costos, minimizar demoras y mejorar la seguridad operacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El&nbsp;mantenimiento predictivo&nbsp;es una estrategia que utiliza&nbsp;datos en tiempo real, sensores, IA y modelos digitales&nbsp;para&nbsp;predecir cu\u00e1ndo una pieza o sistema de una aeronave est\u00e1 a punto de fallar, de modo que se pueda intervenir&nbsp;antes&nbsp;de que ocurra una aver\u00eda o se genere un problema mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de sensores instalados en la aeronave, se recopila informaci\u00f3n, de manera continua,&nbsp;&nbsp;sobre diferentes componentes, tales como el estado, la temperatura, la vibraci\u00f3n, la presi\u00f3n, los ciclos de uso, etc\u00e9tera. Esos datos se&nbsp;transmiten a sistemas digitales&nbsp;que los analizan mediante algoritmos de IA y&nbsp;<em>machine learning<\/em>. Luego, se&nbsp;simula, de manera virtual, el funcionamiento del componente&nbsp;(mediante un gemelo digital). Cuando se detecta un&nbsp;patr\u00f3n que anticipa un desgaste o una falla, el sistema emite una alerta para que el equipo t\u00e9cnico pueda actuar&nbsp;antes de que el componente cause una parada no planificada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el caso de Airbus, su plataforma&nbsp;Skywise&nbsp;conecta m\u00e1s de&nbsp;12 000 aeronaves&nbsp;que generan datos en tiempo real. Esta informaci\u00f3n se analiza mediante gemelos digitales, que permiten predecir cu\u00e1ndo una pieza necesita reemplazo. Los resultados son concretos: aerol\u00edneas como&nbsp;EasyJet&nbsp;evitaron hasta&nbsp;80 cancelaciones&nbsp;en apenas dos meses al utilizar Skywise Fleet Performance, mientras que&nbsp;la&nbsp;<em>low cost<\/em>&nbsp;europea, Vueling,&nbsp;logr\u00f3 mejorar la disponibilidad de su flota al aplicar el mismo m\u00f3dulo de Skywise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte,&nbsp;GE Aerospace, junto con&nbsp;Lufthansa Technik, emplean gemelos digitales para realizarles seguimiento a motores y sistemas auxiliares. Seg\u00fan su vicepresidente de IA,&nbsp;Simon Miles, esta tecnolog\u00eda mejora en un&nbsp;60\u202f% la anticipaci\u00f3n de fallos, incrementa en&nbsp;45\u202f% la detecci\u00f3n efectiva&nbsp;y reduce notablemente las falsas alarmas. Esto representa un avance crucial para la eficiencia y la seguridad del mantenimiento aeron\u00e1utico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En tanto, Rolls-Royce&nbsp;desarroll\u00f3 la plataforma&nbsp;Intelligent Engine, que permite monitorear cada turbina como si fuera un organismo \u00fanico. Gracias a la IA, lograron extender hasta un&nbsp;50\u202f% los intervalos de mantenimiento, y, seg\u00fan cifras internas, este sistema evit\u00f3 la emisi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de&nbsp;22 millones de toneladas de CO\u2082&nbsp;al optimizar el uso de motores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compa\u00f1\u00edas como&nbsp;Aerogility, proveedora de&nbsp;<em>software,<\/em>&nbsp;ofrecen soluciones basadas en agentes digitales para simular flujos log\u00edsticos, disponibilidad de t\u00e9cnicos y cuellos de botella. Estos modelos predictivos permiten planificar con mayor precisi\u00f3n, anticipar demoras por falta de repuestos o personal, y mantener la operaci\u00f3n sin interrupciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan proyecciones de&nbsp;Airbus, el mercado global de mantenimiento (MRO, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) crecer\u00e1 a&nbsp;USD\u202f290 000 millones para 2043.
