La legalizaci\u00f3n de ENGIneUS escribe las primeras l\u00edneas de la historia de propulsi\u00f3n en la aviaci\u00f3n y, al mismo tiempo, marca el \u00e9xito de un trayecto de ocho a\u00f1os desde la perspectiva de la EASA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La serie el\u00e9ctrica ENGINeUS 100 se inici\u00f3 con la aprobaci\u00f3n del modelo B1, pensado para su instalaci\u00f3n en un avi\u00f3n de dos plazas, y con el objetivo de extender la serie a un mayor rango de potencia (de 89 KW a 180 KW), una l\u00ednea de base que permita una aplicaci\u00f3n en aeronaves de hasta 19 plazas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rachel Daeschler, directora de certificaci\u00f3n de la EASA, anunci\u00f3: &#8220;Este fue un proyecto fascinante para EASA, y la primera prueba de nuestra Condici\u00f3n Especial dise\u00f1ada para la certificaci\u00f3n de propulsi\u00f3n h\u00edbrida y totalmente el\u00e9ctrica&#8221;, y agreg\u00f3: &#8220;EASA est\u00e1 totalmente comprometida en apoyar el desarrollo de las tecnolog\u00edas de propulsi\u00f3n destinadas a descarbonizar la aviaci\u00f3n. Felicitamos a Safran por este logro, que est\u00e1 allanando el camino para la descontaminaci\u00f3n de la aviaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La EASA desarroll\u00f3 la Condici\u00f3n Especial SC E-19 con la finalidad de innovar para la sostenibilidad, al tiempo que garantizaba el mismo historial de seguridad que los motores t\u00e9rmicos de hoy en d\u00eda. El objetivo era apoyar la aprobaci\u00f3n de propulsi\u00f3n innovadora con el requisito basado en el rendimiento de aeronaves y de motores, con el fin de garantizar la coherencia desde un principio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En abril de 2021, SC E-19 fue certificada en propulsi\u00f3n h\u00edbrida y\/o el\u00e9ctrica. Luego, se implement\u00f3 como est\u00e1ndar para aplicaciones VTOL y como la primera solicitud de certificado de tipo de propulsi\u00f3n de una nueva empresa asociada con el grupo Safran&nbsp;<em>Electrical &amp; Power<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta primera aplicaci\u00f3n de motor marc\u00f3 el comienzo de un enriquecedor viaje com\u00fan para la EASA como regulador y el fabricante: permiti\u00f3 a la Agencia dar forma al futuro de la legalizaci\u00f3n de propulsi\u00f3n y crear una gu\u00eda m\u00e1s detallada para acompa\u00f1ar a los fabricantes en el camino hacia una aviaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s sostenible a mayor escala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para la aprobaci\u00f3n del ENGINeUS 100, seg\u00fan SC E-19, se requiri\u00f3 una estrecha cooperaci\u00f3n entre el regulador, para definir el an\u00e1lisis, y las pruebas correspondientes que demostraran que el dise\u00f1o era compatible. En este caso, hab\u00eda varias novedades del alcance: el motor ENGINeUS utiliza nuevos m\u00f3dulos de potencia e integra la electr\u00f3nica de potencia directamente en un motor refrigerado por aire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Safran&nbsp;<em>Electrical &amp; Power<\/em>&nbsp;demostr\u00f3 ser \u00e1gil y creativa en el dise\u00f1o de pruebas que fueran capaces de brindar seguridad en un motor el\u00e9ctrico, donde los desaf\u00edos son muy diferentes. A tales fines, se requer\u00eda de una colaboraci\u00f3n muy estrecha no solo con los expertos en pruebas de vuelo y potencias de la EASA, sino tambi\u00e9n con Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH, el fabricante de fuselajes y principal cliente de ENGINeUS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como resultado de la cooperaci\u00f3n entre Safran y EASA, la certificaci\u00f3n de ENGINeUS 100B1 requiri\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de tiempo similar a la de un motor turboeje de rotor: menos de 2 a\u00f1os. De manera paralela a la certificaci\u00f3n, el motor acumul\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 100 horas de vuelo en prototipos de aviones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fuente: EASA\/ Foto:
