De esta forma, Espa\u00f1a se convertir\u00e1 en el quinto pa\u00eds europeo capaz de proporcionar este tipo de comunicaciones a la OTAN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una vez en el espacio, el SpainSat NG I tardar\u00e1 a\u00fan cinco meses en alcanzar su lugar en la \u00f3rbita geoestacionaria, a unos 36 000 kil\u00f3metros de la Tierra, donde se ubicar\u00e1 en la posici\u00f3n 29\u00ba este, y en estar plenamente operativo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El SpainSat NG I y su gemelo el II, que ser\u00e1 lanzado en octubre, ser\u00e1n capaces de proporcionar comunicaciones seguras con la m\u00e1xima protecci\u00f3n contra interferencias u otras amenazas en dos tercios de la superficie terrestre. Su cobertura abarcar\u00e1 una&nbsp;extensa \u00e1rea desde Estados Unidos y Sudam\u00e9rica hasta Singapur, incluyendo \u00c1frica, Europa y Oriente Medio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este sat\u00e9lite incorpora lo \u00faltimo en tecnolog\u00eda, con sistemas de vanguardia dise\u00f1ados para proteger contra interferencias (anti-jamming) y suplantaciones (anti-spoofing). Adem\u00e1s, est\u00e1 preparado para resistir fen\u00f3menos nucleares en grandes altitudes. Su estructura, basada en la plataforma Eurostar Neo de Airbus, le otorga una flexibilidad excepcional, lo que le permite la reorientaci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica de los haces seg\u00fan las necesidades operativas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto, en el que m\u00e1s del 40% del desarrollo ha sido realizado por la industria espa\u00f1ola, est\u00e1 encabezado por un consorcio formado por Airbus D&amp;S y Thales Alenia Space. Airbus D&amp;S Espa\u00f1a es el contratista principal e integrador de la carga \u00fatil de banda X, mientras que TAS Espa\u00f1a se encarga de las cargas \u00fatiles de las bandas Ka militar y UHF. Este programa ha generado m\u00e1s de 500 empleos de alta cualificaci\u00f3n durante su fase de desarrollo y mantendr\u00e1 m\u00e1s de 100 ingenieros anualmente durante sus 15 a\u00f1os de vida \u00fatil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este sistema satelital, que estar\u00e1 operativo hasta 2037, cumple con los est\u00e1ndares de la OTAN para las comunicaciones en misiones y despliegues de la Alianza. Adem\u00e1s, forma parte del programa GOVSATCOM de la UE y brinda servicios a otras entidades gubernamentales espa\u00f1olas, aliados y pa\u00edses amigos con acuerdos bilaterales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto ha contado con el apoyo del Ministerio de Defensa de Espa\u00f1a y la financiaci\u00f3n del Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, as\u00ed como del Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnol\u00f3gico Industrial (CDTI), dentro de la colaboraci\u00f3n p\u00fablico-privada con la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA) conocida como Pacis 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre sus innovaciones m\u00e1s destacadas se encuentran la incorporaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas punteras en Inteligencia Artificial, Big Data e Internet de las Cosas, adem\u00e1s de un procesador digital a bordo que facilita el
