Equipado con instrumentos capaces de detectar la luz infrarroja, el aparato consigui\u00f3 adentrarse en las profundidades del espacio y observar objetos celestes que eran invisibles para los telescopios terrestres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La clave de este descubrimiento radic\u00f3 en una innovadora t\u00e9cnica de procesamiento de im\u00e1genes desarrollada por los cient\u00edficos del MIT. Al analizar m\u00e1s de 10 000 fotograf\u00edas tomadas por el Webb, pudieron identificar una gran cantidad de asteroides que hab\u00edan pasado desapercibidos en observaciones anteriores. Estos cuerpos celestes, con tama\u00f1os que van desde el de un colectivo hasta el de un estadio, se hab\u00edan ocultado entre la luz de una estrella distante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El hallazgo de estos peque\u00f1os asteroides es de importancia para la comprensi\u00f3n de la formaci\u00f3n y evoluci\u00f3n del sistema solar.
