Se trata de 16 estructuras poligonales enterradas<strong> <\/strong>a unos 35 metros de la superficie y dispuestas de manera horizontal a lo largo de casi dos kil\u00f3metros.<strong> <\/strong>Est\u00e1n ubicadas en la vasta cuenca de Utopia Planitia, una regi\u00f3n volc\u00e1nica de baja altitud situada en el hemisferio norte de Marte, donde se cree que pudo haber un gran oc\u00e9ano hace millones de a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zhurong_1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11350\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que hace este descubrimiento a\u00fan m\u00e1s intrigante es la naturaleza de estas formaciones: mientras que en la Tierra algunas estructuras similares, como la famosa Calzada del Gigante en Irlanda del Norte, son el resultado de actividad volc\u00e1nica, en Marte parece que no existe ninguna evidencia de que las estructuras encontradas se hayan formado de manera similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otro de los aspectos fascinantes de este estudio es la sugerencia de que Marte, en sus primeros tiempos, podr\u00eda haber tenido una inclinaci\u00f3n axial m\u00e1s pronunciada que la actual, lo cual habr\u00eda dado lugar a estaciones m\u00e1s extremas. A lo largo de los milenios, la inclinaci\u00f3n del planeta se fue reduciendo, lo que deriv\u00f3 en estaciones m\u00e1s suaves. Sin embargo, las marcas de esas \u00e9pocas turbulentas permanecen talladas en su suelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos manejan una hip\u00f3tesis en torno a estas extra\u00f1as formaciones, y es que se originaron por una contracci\u00f3n del terreno debido al ciclo de congelaci\u00f3n y descongelaci\u00f3n, producto de fluctuaciones extremas de temperatura en la atm\u00f3sfera primitiva de Marte, favorecidas por la antigua inclinaci\u00f3n de su eje. Como resultado de estos procesos t\u00e9rmicos, se habr\u00edan<strong> <\/strong>acumulado gran cantidad de sedimentos hace alrededor de 3000 millones de a\u00f1os. Este hallazgo sugiere que el planeta tuvo una historia clim\u00e1tica mucho m\u00e1s compleja y variada de lo que se pensaba<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroespacio.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zhurong_2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11351\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acerca de Zhurong<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es un robot de seis ruedas, alimentado por energ\u00eda solar y de aproximadamente 240 kilogramos de peso, llamado as\u00ed por el dios del fuego en la mitolog\u00eda china. Su misi\u00f3n es buscar, recolectar y analizar muestras de rocas de la superficie de Marte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En mayo de 2021, como parte de la misi\u00f3n Tianwen-1 de China, aterriz\u00f3 en el planeta rojo y se convirti\u00f3 as\u00ed en el primer robot teleguiado del pa\u00eds asi\u00e1tico que lleg\u00f3 hasta all\u00ed con \u00e9xito.
